Consultations can be used to discuss specific concerns you have about your child’s learning. I can offer practical strategies, tips and resources to try at home and give guidance on how best to advocate for your child’s needs at school.

Exam Access Arrangements for schools

These assessments are specifically designed to gather formal evidence to support exam access arrangements (often this will be 25% extra time, a scribe, or a reader). These quick assessments determine whether a student’s ability to read, write and process information is restricted when placed under timed conditions in class and in exams.

In accordance with the guidelines set by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) and to ensure that the assessment is an accurate reflection of a child’s day-to-day needs in the classroom, I am required to gather the necessary background information from a child’s school information prior to the assessment.
