About Jenny

BA (Hons), PGCE, Level 5 & 7 Dip SpLD, APC, PPM

Fully qualified Level 7 Specialist Teacher and Assessor for Dyslexia/Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs) with over 15 years’ experience working with children and young people across Primary, Secondary, and Further Education settings.

I trained with the British Dyslexia Association (BDA) and the Helen Arkell Dyslexia Charity (HADC), where I was awarded Distinction. I’m also approved by PATOSS and hold an active Assessment Practising Certificate (APC).

Through my work in specialist provision units, mainstream schools and in my private practice, I have extensive experience supporting neurodivergent young people, including those with dyslexia, ADHD, ASD and DCD. My professional experience also spans the teaching of Modern Foreign Languages and English as an Additional Language (EAL), which has provided strong insights into language learning processes and the specific literacy challenges that can arise when learning English.

My approach combines assessment expertise with classroom- and personal experience and a commitment to nurturing every child’s potential. I ensure that young people feel empowered by a detailed understanding of how they learn and that they, together with their families, feel informed and reassured by insights gained, planned support and clear, practical guidance.

“We are so grateful to Jenny for all the amazing work she has done with our children. She is an absolute expert at getting the best out of them. She has such a deep, innate ability to see what each individual child needs, understanding and developing their strengths and building their confidence in all areas of learning. Jenny has also helped us to explore new ways of learning at home and supported us in communicating these ideas to our child's school.”

“Jenny has been tutoring our son for a few months now, and we have been extremely impressed with her approach and dedication. She employs a ludic approach, is extremely patient, and uses engaging methods that our son absolutely loves. He always looks forward to his tutoring sessions with her”.

“Despite the short time she has been working with him, we are already seeing improvements in his school performance and overall confidence in learning. We highly appreciate Jenny's efforts and the positive impact she has had on our son's education.”
