Dyslexia Screening

Dyslexia screening provides an initial assessment of an individual’s learning profile. While it does not offer a formal diagnosis, it helps identify potential strengths and challenges and can guide decisions about further assessment or early support and interventions.

The screening fee is £85, payable at the time of booking. This includes a 30 minute follow-up call to discuss the report findings, questions or concerns as well as next steps.

If findings suggest that your child may benefit from a full diagnostic assessment, the cost of the screener would be deducted from the full diagnostic assessment, if booked within 4 weeks.

How does it work?

Ahead of the screening, I’ll send you a questionnaire to complete. This will gather information about key indicators of dyslexia, including family history of reading difficulties, and any early challenges with speech or language.

The test takes approximately 20-30 minutes. It’s administered by me, a certified assessor, and not a computer.

After the screener, you will be emailed a report which includes; the results from the screener, a score profile outlining specific areas of difficulty, including those highlighted in your questionnaire responses as well as several bespoke recommendations.

A 30 minute follow up call is included in this package during which you’ll have the chance to ask any questions once you’ve had a chance to read the report. This is also an opportunity to discuss how to implement recommendations at home, and whether a full diagnostic assessment may be advisable.

This quick, supportive, and informative process helps families take confident, early steps toward the right support for their child.
